Swiss telco Sunrise Communications is to launch its new IPTV service in a couple of days, as promised last November.

The new service will launch on January 23rd and include over 160 TV channels (including 29 in high-definition) and 80 radio channels, as well as a substantial catch-up TV service called 'ComeBack TV' and the ability to pause live TV ("Live Pause").

ComeBack TV will provide users with the chance to watch selected programmes from over 40 channels up to 28 hours after their initial broadcast, and there will also be a dual-tuner PVR included that can record up to 135 hours of TV.

The telco will initially offer a triple-play package of IPTV, fixed-line telephony and broadband for CHF 125 (US$ 134) per month.
