Social TV 2012 skyscraper (2)

The IP&TV Industry Awards 2012 have attracted a record breaking number of entries this year to compete in the 11 categories, bringing together the leading names in IP-enabled TV from five continents.

Gavin Whitechurch, Executive Director of the IP&TV World Forum commented: “The level of interest in the 2012 Awards has been absolutely overwhelming, both in number and in quality. It truly demonstrates the esteem in which the IP&TV Industry Awards are held, as undoubtedly the preeminent recognition of excellence in the industry. And of course it is also testament to how vibrant our sector is right now – barely a day seems to go past without IP-enabled TV hitting the headlines.

"The shortlist is compelling, bringing together leading service providers from four continents, as well as brand new technology companies vying with some of the most established names in the business. I’d like to extend my thanks to the judges, who have taken on the extremely difficult task of narrowing down the shortlist of entries, as we were inundated with high quality, innovative entries this year. I’m looking forward to the Awards Gala Dinner on the 21st March, when the final winners will be announced – it’s sure to be an exciting evening!”

The 2012 Awards categories, which have been updated to reflect the pervasiveness of over-the-top (OTT) delivery, features an impressive array of companies, spanning the entire IP&TV ecosystem, and entries from Europe, Asia, Australia, the Gulf and North America.
