French firm Netgem, a provider of digital convergence technologies, has formed partnerships with specialists from across the IPTV value chain to develop connected TV solutions designed for the needs of pay-TV providers in Latin America.

Netgem's partners include French companies ATEME (a video processing and compression specialist) and Broadpeak (a provider of video delivery solutions), as well as KIT digital, a Prague-headquartered provider of end-to-end video management solutions.

“We have brought together some of the broadcast industry’s most respected names to combine their best of breed and fully complimentary [sic] technologies to meet the specific needs of the Latin American pay-TV market," said Yann Courqueux, CMO of Netgem. "All are leaders in their particular fields and can draw on best practice from a broad range of international deployments. We are looking forward to introducing our joint solution to content owners and distributors in what is probably the most dynamic market in the world at the moment.”
